And the Crowd goes SILENT!

Hey NY, How Does My Piss Taste?

Oh the Knicks, the same ole New York Knickerbockers.

Now although I want to forget about yesterdays performance just like I do that fat chick I grinded up on Thursday night, I was at the Garden so I just want to make a few floppy points.

First off, respects to the Garden crowd last night; MSG was insane. I don’t know how much more electric an arena could have been. Everyone was cheering, chanting, yes even the stiff corporate bastards with their trophy wives, and people were ready to explode…AND THEN…The Barnum and Bailey Circus came out…

Boston beat the hell out of the Knicks last night in a 113-96 rout at the Garden that started out with Boston scoring the first 9 points of the game and going on a 22-5 run in the first quarter. At that point the game was over as the Knicks never got closer than 5, and and this time my good ole Knicks fans we have no body to blame but ourselves. It was like my football coach Dick Biddle would say,  “we got beat on like a bunch of red headed step children” (guy is a sick fuck btw).

You can’t blame Mike D’Antoni (even though he had some questionable moves which I’ll flop on to later), can’t blame Landry Fields who should of wore a diaper last night, not Jared Jeffries, not Toney Douglas who can’t run a high school offense, not Spike Lee who I am convinced is a friggin jinx, not even the sorry ass refs who officiated the worst first half of playoff basketball I have ever seen…

At the end of the day Boston was just a better team than New York and even if Tim Donaghy was reffing and had money on the Knicks, the Knicks would have still lost by 10.

It came down to this…Boston used the MSG, playoff intensity in their favor rather than New York which got scared and shit the bed. Doc Rivers put it in perfect perspective after the game,

“My main concern is this was not entertainment coming in here today. This was a competition and I thought we came with that mentality.”

Well you sure did Doc…The Celtics shot lights out (50.6 % from the field); Paul Pierce dropped 38 on a ridiculous 14-19 shooting, Ray Allen scored 32 on a ridonculous 8-11 from 3 point territory; and even Rajon Rondo “quietly” had a triple double with 20 assists, 15 points, and 11 rebounds; setting a Celtic record for most assists in a playoff game (20) and tying MJ for only player to record a triple double in a playoff game at the Garden.

My Back Hurts (Mr Deeds voice)

But like an NY stubborn fan, I have to list just a few complaints from this game:

  1. Why did Amar’e play so many minutes (33)? The guy was clearly hurt and could not do damn thing on the court, especially rebound. Boston had 13 offensive rebounds and every one seemed to shift any minute NY momentum Boston’s way…and well then Ray Allen hit another 3. Amar’e had an efficiency of -34 which was significantly worse than anyone else on the floor as he finished the game with 2 rebounds, 7 pts, no blocks, no steals, and 1 assist. Why did he play 33 minutes… I’ll never know… The only reasoning could be as a decoy for Melo but Melo only had 15 and didn’t make a nice play all night so…
  2. Why didn’t Shawne Williams start the second half and play more minutes in the third quarter? Shawne was dripping all night as he led the Knicks in scoring (17), and was the only consistent offensive player for the Knicks all game. It took about 7 minutes to get Shawne back in the game in the 3rd, and when he came in…what do you know he immediately hit a 3…He should have started the second half, but you know how it is with NY coaching…if you start him and he does bad then the blame is on you…
  3. Lastly why the fuck did video game Ray Allen have to be on the court last night? I mean to say this guy was unbelievable last night would be an understatement, and it got to a point where I wanted to run on the court and choke the guy. I mean every shot this guy took besides a sequence of 2 misses which BTW Boston got offensive rebounds off and get them back out to Ray for 3 that yea went in, were straight WATER. When Ray is that on you can’t do anything…unless…maybe get some really creepy drunk to start groping his mom during the game…we all know Ray loves his mommy…

Well the Knicks are now down 3-0 in the series, and unfortunately no team in the history of the NBA has ever come back down 3-0. So unless D’Antoni crokes, Paul Pierce has a LA Gang hit on him, or Ray Allen is the target of a terrorist attack…we’re GOINGGG…. HOME NY HOME NY, GO…HOME NY HOME NY, GO…
