God these two are lame.
There’s a little bromance going on between LeBron James and “rapper”/ex-Degrassi character Drake. It’s actually kind of weird… but with all this recent homosexual talk in sports, why not publicize this wonderful bromance?
Drake, known for his song…you can fill in the blank here because I think he is just God-awful, has been seen sitting court-side at a lot of Miami Heat games this season. I could have sworn when he played Jimmy Brooks in Degrassi, he was a Lakers fan….but then again, he was a Degrassi character from 2001 – 2007 and I believe that’s when the Lakers sucked right?
Yeah..that’s when they won only 3-straight NBA titles. Most “Heat fans” were probably Lakers fans then too. Anyways, according to LeBron, he and Drake are like “a real family“. Before the game a couple days ago, Drake sent LeBron a text message that said “Tonight is your night” (aww). There was actually a serious article written about this by some guy who writes for Yahoo! Sports, I guess this is an important enough issue that a sports writer felt the need to interview Drake for this. “I always let him know that it’s his night,” Drake told Yahoo! Sports.
“Let’s get it, let’s go out there with a clear mind and forget all the other stuff going on and just stay focused on the task. That ring. Tonight, I told him it was his night. And it was his night tonight.” Apparently, LeBron saw something special in Drake and his music, and he said he became a fan “long before his studio album“. I don’t think the same could be said for Drake’s fandom to the Heat…or any other Heat fan for that matter. But for real, what a cute bromance they have. It just gives me a reason to hate them both more. I hated Drake’s music to begin with, and now I can hate him for being a “Heat fan“. I hated LeBron because he’s a traitor and a coward and totally screwed over his home town and ruined a whole bunch of Ohio people’s lives, and now I can hate him even more, because he likes bad music. [quotes from Yahoo! Sports]
To add to this cute little friendship, James said “It’s not just because we are successful at what we do. We really care about one another on a day-to-day basis. Anytime you get a friend that can come and support you in what you do, I really respect that.” I guess you can call Drake successful. Plus, when the entire state of Ohio despises you, the rest of the country (not counting the douchebags in South Beach) dislikes you immensely, you gotta take all the friends you can get!
Oh yeah, can’t forget the lame “Forever” video montage to LeBron. (Love the product placement…Ciroc….)
