Shannon Brown gets around.
Remember back when the Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum told us about the Lakers “trust issues” after a Game 2 home loss?
Well I think that comment was not taken as literally as it should have. Just ask Pau Gasol and his ex-fiancee Silvia Lopez Castro.
Rumors are speculating that guard Shannon Brown was messing around with Pau Pau’s woman on the DL. These rumors seem to be getting out of hand, from love triangles to reality TV shows, the Lakers seem to be fully embracing their image as a “Hollywood Team.”
What we’re hearing is that Shannon Brown, yes the same Shannon Brown who is married R&B singer Monica, slept with Silvia Lopez Castro (the ex-soon to be Ms. Gasol) during the season, and Gasol didn’t find out until the end of the regular season.
So when people were saying Brown needed to make an impact this postseason, I don’t they meant in this fashion.
